George O’Brien is the owner of the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Camp Point.

 

George began his insurance career in 1978. In 1986, he purchased The McNutt Insurance Agency in Camp Point, IL. The McNutt & O’Brien Agency is the oldest agency in Adams County, established in 1873. George is the fourth owner. In 1996, George was happy to have his son, Mike begin working at the agency. After two years, Mike purchased an agency in Quincy, and they continued to work together. In 2008, George and Mike combined their agencies into the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC, with offices located in both Camp Point and Quincy.

 

George served as the President of the Tri-Quincy Library District for seven years. He served on the Quinsippi Soccer League Board for twelve years.

 

George and his wife, Mary, have three grown children, and four terrific grandchildren. George enjoys golfing and fly-fishing in Bennett Springs, Yellowstone, Montana, Michigan, Canada, and anywhere else he can cast a fly!

Paula O’Dear is an agent at the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Camp Point.

 

Paula joined the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in 2001. She is both an agent and the office manager at the Camp Point office.

 

Paula and her husband, Brad, have two children and one grandchild.

Troy Dawson is an agent at the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Quincy.

 

Troy has lived in Quincy his whole life. He graduated from Quincy University with a degree in Business Management. Troy enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, whether its sports, landscaping, barbeques, or spending time with his large group of close-knit family and friends.

 

Troy began his insurance career in 2002 when he joined the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC. A naturally outgoing person, Troy has enjoyed meeting new people while working as an insurance agent.

Troy is married with two children. He and his wife, Lori, were blessed to adopt a baby boy in March of 2008 from Russia. Tegan, has joined his dad in the love of sports by starting T-ball this year. Persuaded by his dad, Tegan has also become an avid Cubs fan!! By the way, Troy says Tegan plans on becoming the next insurance agent at the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC.

Mike O’Brien is the owner of the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Quincy.

 

Mike grew up in Quincy, IL. He attended Quincy University and graduated from Illinois State University, playing baseball for both schools.

 

Mike began his insurance career in 1996, working for his Dad, George at McNutt & O’Brien Insurance Agency in Camp Point, IL. In 1998, Mike purchased The Jack Souders Insurance Agency in Quincy. The Michael G. O’Brien Insurance Agency grew quickly, and in 2004 moved to its current location at 419 South 10th Street. In 2006, Mike and George combined their agencies into the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC with offices located in both Quincy and Camp Point.

 

Mike has served on Quincy University’s Mart Heinen Athletic Booster Club for 10 years. He has been Chairman for the Chili Cook-Off fund raiser for the past 8 years.

 

Mike and his wife, April have three children and one very large Golden Retriever. Mike enjoys golfing, fly-fishing at Bennett Springs, MO, working in his yard, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Shelly Steinkamp is an agent at The O’Brien Insurance Agency LLC in Quincy.

 

Shelly Steinkamp, a Quincy native, is married to Joe and they have 3 children. Shelly is a member of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, American Business Women’s Association, Noon Kiwanis, The Elks , and a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association. She is also an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce promoting Quincy area businesses.

 

Shelly has over twelve years experience and is licensed in the State of Illinois and Missouri for property, casualty, life and health insurance. She joined The O’Brien Insurance Agency LLC in 2007.

Tracy Kiefer is an agent at the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Quincy.

 

Tracy is a life long Quincyan and graduated from Quincy High School. She is married and the mother of two children.

 

Tracy began her insurance career in 1988 as an insurance secretary with her father at Millers Mutual. She then worked as a CSR for Country Companies and as an agent at American Family. Tracy joined the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in 2003.

 

In her spare time, Tracy likes to read, spend time with her family, garden, cook, walk, swim, and Zumba. She is very involved with her church having served as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. She has completed many mission trips throughout the United States. She volunteers at WGCA with their concerts and Share-a-thons. She volunteers for Horizon’s Social Services and for many other worthwhile causes in the Quincy area.

 

Tracy is a Toastmaster with the Gem City Toastmasters and has served as their Secretary. She serves as a Secretary on the Board of Members First Credit Union and the Harwood Cemetery Board. She is a former member of the ABWA, having served as Vice President, President, Education Chairman, and Professional Development Chairman. She is a member of the Great River Referral Group and serves as an Ambassador with the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.

Heather Davis is an agent and customer service representative at the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in Quincy.

Heather grew up in Van Buren County in Southern Iowa. She attended college at La’ James International College and the University of Missouri. She relocated to Quincy with her husband in 2014.

Heather began her insurance career in 2012 with American Family Insurance as an agent and office manager. She joined the O’Brien Insurance Agency, LLC in 2014.

Heather and her husband (Ryan) have two young daughters (Kinley and Kyla) and one very active Australian Shepherd. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family, singing, golfing, working out at the gym, and participating in 5k charity runs that support the community.
